MTQ48: Mental Toughness

Our coping mechanisms are reflected in our level of Emotional Intelligence. Mental Toughness is a significant factor in determining how a person responds to pressure and how that might result in excessive stress. Research shows that Mental Toughness consists of 4 components, all of which have implications for individuals in the workplace:
  • The extent to which we feel in control of our lives and our emotions
  • How we respond to challenge and to unplanned change
  • How we respond to (demanding) goals and targets
  • Our confidence in our abilities and in our dealings with others.
MTQ48 has been specifically designed to enable organisations to understand what their people need to do to respond more effectively to the pressures in today’s world of work and provides valuable insight into how our coping skills / stress affect performance.
